​Elizabeth Gervais, Eizabeth is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. She has a Master of Education and a Master of Art in Marriage and Family Therapy in addition to a Bachelor of Art in Social Studies & Elementary Education.  Elizabeth is a specialist in relationship issues, family conflict, codependency, and parenting with neurodivergent clients.

Learn how to integrate neuroaffirming practices into couples' work.  Learn the basic skills you need to work with couples in which one or both of them are neurodivergent and learn the skills to help them a healthy relationship. 
Earn 2 NBCC CEUs as you learn how to create a neuro affirmative practice that is welcoming to neurodivergent couples.
 
LEARNING OBJECTIVES INCLUDE:
  1. Gain a basic understanding of what neuroaffirmative practice is, such as how to communicate and understand my neurodivergent clients.
2. Have a working knowledge of what unmasking is, why it is important, and the basic process with its implications on the family process.

​Jessica Penot, author of the unmasking workbook for autistic adults, will also go over how to integrate Dungeons and Dragons and other RPGs into your therapeutic practice with your autistic clients.

Join us for a brief in-person seminar exploring the transformative potential of gaming therapy in treating autistic teens and adults. Gain foundational knowledge and discover cutting-edge research from the past five to ten years that has reshaped our understanding of autism spectrum disorder.
We’ll dive into innovative techniques, including integrating clients’ existing RPG characters into parts work like Internal Family Systems (IFS). You’ll also learn how to design therapeutic games for small groups, helping clients engage with their different parts and explore the roles those parts play in their lives.

Learn the basic information needed to begin to treat autistic adults and teens in this in person seminar.  We will go over the new and emerging research from the last five-ten years that has radically changed the way we relate to and understand autism spectrum disorder.  After this seminar you will understand the history of autism and the self-advocacy movement in online environments that has changed the way autistic people relate to themselves and others. 
Earn 7 NBCC CEUs as you learn how to create a neuro affirmative practice that is welcoming to autistic adults.

*Understand the history of autism, autism diagnosis and treatment, and the importance of the autism self-advocacy movement.
